Frances Mortillaro was born on February 25, 1891, in Italy. Her father Giovanni was 19, and her mother Francesca was 21. She married Giovanni Cappello on June 13, 1918, in New York City. They had three children during their marriage. She died in January 1991 at the age of 99. Giovanni passed away in September 1969 in Brooklyn, New York, at the age of 83. They had been married 51 years. Her sister Anna died on March 23, 1990, in Yoro, Honduras, when Frances was 99 years old. Frances Mortillaro lived in Caltabellotta, Agrigento, Italy (9 miles from Villafranca Sicula). It is reputed first bishop was Saint Pellegrino, a disciple of Saint Peter.
